释义	靈祐 líng yòu唐代禅师的法号。俗姓赵。福州长谿治所在今福建霞浦南人。沩仰宗的创始人之一。十五岁时，依本郡建善寺法常律师出家，二十三岁到江西参百丈怀海禅师。开悟后，奉怀海之命，前往人烟稀少的沩山今湖南省宁乡县西开法。武宗法难时，暂充农民。大中初，湖南观察使裴休将他迎出，从此禅风大盛，僧众多达一千五百人。敕谥「大圆禅师」。
