释义	迦葉 jiā yè释迦弟子以迦叶为名者五人，经论中单称迦叶是指摩诃迦叶波，他年高德劭，称为大迦叶。释迦殁后佛教结集三藏时，他是召集人兼首座。中国禅宗又说他是传承佛法的第一代祖师，西土二十八祖之始祖。借指佛教禅宗。因迦叶被认为是中国禅宗初祖，故称。佛教指释迦佛以前的过去七佛之一。见《法苑珠林》卷十三。释迦牟尼佛十大弟子中摩诃迦叶的简称。参见「摩诃迦叶」条。如来又称谢了。叫阿傩、迦叶，将各所献之物，一一收起，方向玉帝前谢宴。《西游记．第七回》迦叶
