释义	芬尼运动 fēn ní yùn dòng愛爾蘭人民反對英國統治、爭取民族獨立的運動。1801年愛爾蘭被併入英國。1858年在愛爾蘭的都柏林和美國紐約同時成立兩個組織，統稱芬尼以愛爾蘭傳說中的蓋爾人英雄芬尼·馬庫爾統帥的民團命名，綱領是反對英國殖民統治，建立共和國。組成的武裝力量，稱“愛爾蘭共和軍”。多次舉行武裝密謀活動和起義，均失敗。19世紀70年代後衰落。
