释义	素隱行怪 sù yǐn xíng guài同索隱行怪。謂探索隱晦的哲理，故作怪異的行爲。孔子曰：‘索隱行怪，後世有述焉，吾不爲之矣。《禮記．中庸》:子曰:'素隱行怪，後世有述焉，吾弗爲之矣。'朱熹集註:素，按《漢書》當作'索'，蓋字之誤也。索隱行怪，言深求隱僻之理，而過爲詭異之行也。一說，素當同不素餐兮之素。無隱者之德而徒居隱者之地，行怪僻之事，謂之素隱行怪。見元李治《敬齋古今黈》卷二。⎣素隱行怪，後世有述焉，吾弗為之矣。⎝《禮記．中庸》也作「索隱行怪」。
