释义	國民義務教育 guó mín yì wù jiào yù全体国民所应接受的基本教育。自民国五十七学年度开始，我国义务教育由六年延至九年，前六年为国民小学，后三年为国民中学。民国七十一年四月三十日，立法院通过「强迫入学修正案」，明定六岁到十五岁国民应强迫接受国民教育，否则得科父母或监护人新台币三百元以下罚锾，并得连续科罚至入学为止。其宗旨在培养健全国民，使具有基本的生活知能及国民道德。
